Faith and Community Centre

Chapels and prayer rooms

The chapel and prayer rooms are available for staff, patients and visitors who need some time away from the busy and sometimes noisy hospital. They are open and lit day and night. You may wish to do some thinking on your own. You may wish to pray, to cry or just be silent by yourself or with someone else.

Faith and Community Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

The Faith and Community Centre is located on Level 1 of the QEHB, near the Main Entrance. The centre offers the following facilities:

  • Chapel
  • Prayer rooms with male and female wudu facilities
  • Quiet corner (open 24/7)
  • Meeting rooms
  • Chaplaincy offices

Everyone is welcome to use our facilities, regardless of faith or belief background, although we ask that respect is given to our various cultural and religious heritages.

Members of the Chaplaincy Team also visit patients in wards and departments, providing spiritual care as requested by patients and families.
