Story posted/last updated: 29 November 2012
The Project Director of the Trust’s construction partner has been crowned the UK’s top construction manager for his work on the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
Roger Frost, from Balfour Beatty, was named Construction Manager of the Year by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
Chris Blythe, CIOB chief executive said. “Roger’s determination, dedication and direction kept this juggernaut of a scheme rolling.
“With hospital projects you have added pressure knowing the direct effect it will have on people’s lives. In this case the Trust treats over 700,000 patients a year and far from shrinking from the challenge Roger rose to it.”
