Cancer Centre staff support Movember

Story posted/last updated: 29 November 2012

If you’re wondering why some of the gents in the Cancer Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham are sporting some curious facial hair, you’ll be pleased (and relieved) to hear it’s all in a good cause.

Alex Britton, Guy Cheti, David Izon and Ben Allen are growing moustaches this month as part of Movember, a national campaign to raise funds and awareness of cancers that affect men.

Half of the money raised by the Mo Bros (as they are known) will be donated to the QE Cancer Appeal which is bringing the world’s most advanced cancer treatment technology to Birmingham.

If you’d like to encourage these selfless men in their quest to create the finest moustaches in the city and raise funds to help patients with cancer, please contact the charity team on 0121 371 4852 or visit the QE Cancer Appeal website.
