Story posted/last updated: 28 November 2012

UHB Chief Executive Julie Moore travelled to Buckingham Palace to be officially made a Dame for her services to healthcare.

Dame Julie, who received the title in the New Year’s Honours list, received her investiture from Prince Charles on Tuesday 15 May 2012. The Prince of Wales and Dame Julie have previously met on several occasions, during the Prince’s visits to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, to meet injured troops.

Dame Julie, who took the helm at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust in 2006, said she was “honoured and delighted on behalf of the Trust” to receive the recognition.
