Emergency Department building work to improve patient flow

Story posted/last updated: 02 October 2018

From Monday 8 October, the Emergency Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) will undergo some building work as part of improvements to the flow of patients. Once completed, these improvements will offer a quicker route to treatment for those attending the Emergency Department.

Works are expected to continue into December, with the department remaining fully open throughout. The quality of care for those attending during this period will not be affected.

There will inevitably be some extra noise during the works, for which we apologise. Should you have any queries about these works, please contact our Communications team.
