2020 marks 125 years of Heartlands Hospital, and University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) and UHB Charity are asking for your help in marking this special anniversary.

We will be celebrating this momentous anniversary this October and whilst the on-going pandemic means that we cannot come together in person as a community to celebrate, we are marking the milestone through a range of initiatives that will allow us all to stay safe.

We are asking local people from the communities that Heartlands Hospital serves to record a 20-second video message of support for the hospital. "Thank you Heartlands" will then be premiered on social media in October, forming a key part of the anniversary celebrations.

We would like your video message to celebrate Heartlands Hospital’s place as a bedrock within the local community, with a message of support for our current and former staff who have provided care for generations of people from East Birmingham.

We are also using this opportunity to thank our current staff for their exceptional dedication and professionalism over the last few months, which have been some of the toughest in the history of Heartlands Hospital.

Please ensure your video clip is 20 seconds or under so it can be sent as an email attachment to the address provided below. We recommend filming in landscape and facing towards a window if you are inside.

Alongside this special video, we will be creating a display of photographs of special Heartlands memories for our colleagues who work at the hospital. If you have any images representing happy moments for you associated with Heartlands that you would like to share please send them to the email address provided below.
