How QEHB is handling major trauma

Story posted/last updated: 15 April 2014

A learning event is being held to mark the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) being designated a Major Trauma Centre (MTC).

The afternoon conference, on 26 March, will be an opportunity for healthcare professionals to learn more about the major trauma system and how it is benefiting some of the most seriously injured patients from across the region.

There will be "Lessons Learnt" session followed by a Q&A with the audience.

QEHB is one of three MTCs in the West Midlands, working closely with Birmingham Children’s Hospital, which provides a paediatric major trauma service. The other centres are University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust and University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust.

If you would like to learn more, or to register for the event, please email Ashleigh Knights.
