The Conservation Volunteers

Join The Conservation Volunteers for winter pruning

Story posted/last updated: 25 November 2016

Did you know that Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham is home to over 100 fruit trees?

This special orchard needs some care from time to time, and The Conservation Volunteers are inviting volunteers to a winter pruning event to help keep the trees in top condition. It's an opportunity to learn new skills, improve on your existing ones, or help mentor a new learner.

Food will be provided for the hungry volunteers and it's a great opportunity to have some fun and make a difference.

The event will take place on Saturday 14 January 2017 from 10:00-14:00, meeting at the food growing space near the Medical School (opposite University railway station).

If you'd like to know more, call Rob or email Glenn Powell who will be happy to tell you more.
