Join the Trust to help create a bug house with a difference

Story posted/last updated: 19 August 2016

Not too long ago, in a hospital not too far away…

It is a tough time for bees and their allies, the pollinators, but help is at hand in the form of the mighty… Millipede Falcon.

Working with The Conservation Volunteers, Buglife and the Urban Orchard Project – join the Trust to help create a bug house with a difference at QEHB.

Meet at the food growing space (opposite University Station) to help build a Star Wars Millennium Falcon themed bug house, take tours of QEHB’s Community Orchard and Gardens and make your own bug houses to take home.

All staff, patients, visitors and their families are welcome on Friday 26 August 2016 from 10:00 – 13:00. The day will also include:

  • Mini-beast hunts
  • Make your own bug house
  • Explore the orchard
