Members' Health Talks: 'Statins and the Immune System'

Story posted/last updated: 11 December 2017

Does the use of statins boost the immune system and help older people to beat pneumonia sooner?

In the first potential advance on the treatment of pneumonia since the early 1980s, Dr Elizabeth Sapey's clinical trial into the use of statins in the treatment of pneumonia have shown some exciting and very promising results.

If you're a Foundation Trust member or UHB staff, come along to our Members' Talk on Friday 19 January from 10:30 – 12:00 to hear about the study. The talk will be held in Lecture Theatre 3, Education Centre, Level 1, QEHB.

Registration is not necessary.
