NHS Forest Conference 2015
Story posted/last updated: 25 September 2015
A conference to boost health and wellbeing and the use of green spaces within healthcare will be held at QEHB next week.
With a workshop to discuss how to increase the value of health and wellbeing, and a guided tour of QEHB’s Community Orchard and Gardens, the conference offers an excellent opportunity to learn more about the interface between health and the environment.
Alongside the opportunity to network and meet professionals from the forestry, engagement and NHS sector – the conference will also host the NHS Forest Awards.
The prestigious awards will be given for the following categories:
- Most innovative forest site award
- Best Community Engagement at an NHS Forest site
- Largest Number of Trees Planted
- Significant Contribution to the NHS Forest project
If you would like to attend, and find out more about the therapeutic uses of the great outdoors, visit the NHS Forest Conference website (see below).
