Paediatric and neonatal recruitment day

Story posted/last updated: 25 June 2018

We are holding a recruitment event on Monday 2 July 2018 between 10:30 – 13:30 to showcase the Paediatric and Neonatal Services provided across University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB).

Our teams work at Heartlands and Good Hope hospitals and our services include two paediatric assessment units, day surgery, inpatients, high dependency facilities and paediatric specific emergency departments, along with a wide range of specialist nurses and a hospital at home team.

We also work alongside the Solihull Community Paediatric team. Our neonatal services include neonatal special care, transitional care, high dependency and intensive care cots and a neonatal community outreach team and a family support group.

We are looking to recruit newly qualified nurses who are keen to establish their career foundations in general paediatrics and experienced nurses who are seeking a change in location or have an aspiration to develop different skills.

Our neonatal units are looking to employ newly qualified nurses from both child and adult cohorts and will also welcome experienced nurses who would like to change location, learn a new speciality or develop an existing skill set.

There is also the opportunity to work across both paediatrics and neonatal teams and if you are interested then we may be able to facilitate a rotation package for you, so please let us know on the day if this opportunity appeals to you.

The recruitment day will take place on the following:

Date Monday 2 July 2018
Time 10:30 – 13:30
Location Heartlands Education Centre Clinical Skills Room

During the event you will have the opportunity to see some of the training resources available to staff and visit the paediatric and neonatal units. You will also be offered an interview and the chance to complete our maths entry paper during your visit.

If you have any questions ahead of the day, please don’t hesitate to contact a member of our team.
