QEHB to hold first ever Medical Nursing Conference

Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham will hold its first ever Medical Nursing Conference on 18 October 2017 at the Postgraduate Centre.

The day, to which all registered nurses and nursing students are invited, runs from 08:00 to around 16:45 and will aim to increase awareness of some of the medical conditions likely to be encountered, and nurses' roles and responsibilities in managing these.

Different specialties will be covered, with highly respected speakers offering their expertise on:

  • Diabetes
  • Stroke medicine
  • Acute respiratory conditions
  • Acute medicine
  • Older adults nursing
  • Other medical conditions

Throughout the day, there will be a range of learning opportunities and the opportunity to share experiences.

Delegates will also be able to speak to a range of specialists, suppliers and other nurses.

The conference is worth 9 hours of CPD for NMC revalidation, and lunch and refreshments will be provided - with the opportunity to win some prizes at the end of the day.

The closing date for registration is 12:00 on Friday 9 October 2017.
