UHB memorial service
Story posted/last updated: 05 November 2020
The Trust, in partnership with Cruse Bereavement Care, invites you to join us for our virtual memorial service to remember our community, patients, relatives and colleagues who have died this year, and all who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Led by the Chaplaincy Team, the service provides us with a time of necessary reflection and contemplation, as we think about those who have died this year and those affected by COVID-19.
The free virtual service will be held on Sunday 1 November, 15:00 – 16:00 (3pm to 4pm) and can be accessed via smartphones, computers and tablets.
A link to watch the memorial service live on the day (via YouTube) is available below, as well as a link to some free bereavement resources provided by Cruse Bereavement Care.
We will also share a link and useful information via the Trust’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, which we encourage you share with anyone you feel may wish to join us.
Candle lighting and one minute silence
At 15:00 there will be a candle lighting ceremony as part of the service which we would like you to take part in from wherever you are, regardless of whether you can join us for the service on the day.
A one minute silence will also be observed at approximately 15:30 and we encourage you to join us in this time of reflection.
