Outpatients Viewpoint Day a great success
Story posted/last updated: 30 January 2017
The Trust has held another of its successful Viewpoint Days in Outpatients at QEHB.
The event provided a great opportunity for staff to gain an insight into patient and visitor views of the department.
The Viewpoint Day stand was stationed in the Outpatients main waiting area and was manned by nursing staff. Over 400 feedback cards were filled in and staff were on hand to answer any queries.
Sue Coen, Senior Sister in Outpatients, said, “We were keen to get real-time feedback from patients and visitors and speak to them about their experiences in the department. We have a number of ways of collecting feedback such as postal surveys and leaflets, but listening and talking to patients, carers and visitors firsthand is the best way of understanding their views.”
Early analysis shows that 99% of the comments received were very positive. Two comments mentioned waiting times. Sue continued, “A full analysis of all the comments will be undertaken. We will be acting on the constructive suggestions we received and publicising any changes we make in the You Said, We Did section of news@QEHB magazine.”
