NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS) for GPs
The NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS) is a national IT system that gives greater choice to patients about their care and where they would prefer to be seen.
e-RS allow practices to give patients choice by displaying what services providers offer whilst taking into account waiting times, distance and suitability.
The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) directory of services features an extensive range of regularly updated services to ensure the latest information is available to referring practices.
UHB no longer accept referral letters from GP practices for any services which are available on e-RS.
