The Norman Power Centre (NPC)

The Norman Power Centre (NPC) is an off-site, purpose built facility that was used by Birmingham City Council as an adult nursing home. The centre now provides an off-site ward run by University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) – the Trust that runs the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB).

The Norman Power Centre (named for Canon Norman Power, a long-serving and well-respected vicar of Ladywood) was built in 2008, with en-suite single rooms, a gym and therapy facilities.

The centre provides high-quality inpatient care, with 32 beds for patients of QEHB, and supports the best possible route out of hospital for patients that require a more appropriate care setting whilst they are waiting for the next stage in their care.
