The Norman Power Centre (NPC) infection control and cleanliness

Maintaining a clean and safe environment is essential and is expected across all wards of Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB), including The Norman Power Centre (NPC).

To reduce the risk of infection to both yourselves, patients and staff at the centre, if you have diarrhoea and vomiting, please do not visit the centre until 48 hours after your symptoms have passed.

Please also make sure to use the hand disinfectant before you reach the ward, if handling food or patient items, and when you leave. This will help to stop the spread of any bacteria and keep us all safer.

Daily cleaning services of all patient and public areas is provided, however if you see anything of concern, please report this to the nurse or nursing assistant who will endeavour to maintain the high standards we all expect.
