Safer staffing levels

All NHS hospitals are working towards publication of information about the number of nursing and care staff working on each ward.

This initiative is part of the NHS response to the Francis Report, which called for greater openness and transparency in the health service.

Information about staffing levels will be published monthly. Full details will also be reported to the Board of Directors.

We will be displaying this information on a shift-by-shift basis in all of our inpatient wards, showing the planned and actual staffing available at the start of every shift.
