If you are able to attend on the day of your surgery, but require a stay of more than 23 hours in hospital following your surgery, then you are likely to attend and be admitted via our Admissions Lounge.

If this is the case, you will receive a courtesy call the day prior to your surgery with some useful information and to have the opportunity to ask any questions that you might have.

The lounge provides a pleasant environment for you until you are called in to theatre, and you are welcome to have a friend or relative wait with you in the lounge.

Please note that you will only need to bring some nightwear (such as a dressing gown), and some comfortable footwear (such as slippers) with you. The lounge does not have secure storage facilities for any other items, so please ask someone to bring any other items you may wish to have with you during visiting times on the ward after your surgery.
