Bone-conduction hearing implants (BCHI)
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Audiology Centre (QEHAC) runs the largest adult BCHI programme in Europe and pioneered the development of BCHI services in the UK. The programme was established in 1989 and by 2012 had fitted more than 1,700 hearing aids.
