The Community Orchard and Gardens will be a sustainable and volunteer led project which brings together local businesses, residents, children and workers -including hospital staff. It will become a lasting and successful achievement for the community to enjoy.

For business, donating equipment, money, or the valuable time of your employees can be hugely beneficial in contributing towards your corporate and social responsibilities, as well as getting your staff out of the office and letting them get their hands a little dirty,

The Community Orchard and Gardens relies on volunteers from partner organisations to keep the weeds out and the flowers growing. Already, international corporations such as Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) as well as Mondelēz International – the makers of Cadbury’s, have sent teams to help clear part of the site.

This project hopes to improve the site for the benefit of those involved and around it, be that a volunteer, a patient, a member of staff or a local resident. The project really hopes to be for the net benefit of the community.
