Events for patients with multiple sclerosis

Tai chi class

This 10-week programme is run by the Physiotherapy Department at 11:30 on Tuesday mornings.

If you are an MS patient at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and would like more information on this class, please contact Physiotherapy.

Eligible patients can be referred by their GP, consultant or MS nurse.

MS exercise class

This hour-long exercise class is run by the Physiotherapy Department at 11:30 on Thursday mornings.

The class addresses aerobic, strengthening and stability exercises, incorporating the whole body. It could benefit any person with MS who has a balance deficit and people with specific muscle weakness. It will also be of use to those who want to increase their general fitness.

If you are an MS patient at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and would like more information on this class, please contact Physiotherapy.

Community therapy MS exercise class, South Birmingham

This hour-long class is open to people with MS who live in the South Birmingham Area, and runs at 11:30 on Friday mornings.

Most of the exercises will be done seated, with scope for some for standing. It could benefit any person with MS who has a balance problem, specific muscle weakness, and problems with sitting balance. It is also available to people with MS who have expressed an interest in exercising.

BruMS ChuMS meetings

The ChuMS group is for people with MS aged between 18 and 40 who live in or around Birmingham who want to chat and have some fun with others also living with MS.
