Lance Corporal Tom Neathway

Wounded, BBC1

A BBC documentary on Wednesday 23 September 2009 followed the treatment of very seriously injured British soldiers, featuring the work of clinical staff at UHB and the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine.

This powerful documentary followed the story of two British soldiers who were seriously wounded in Afghanistan and brought to Selly Oak Hospital, then later transferred to Headley Court Rehabilitation Centre.

This is the first time the Ministry of Defence has allowed television cameras to follow the recovery and rehabilitation of severely injured soldiers returning from Afghanistan.
