Meet the team
Dr Nick Davies, Consultant Neurologist, Neurology and Neuromuscular Conditions
Dr Davies qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1991 and has a broad experience of general neurological disorders gained through specialist training both in Birmingham and at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London.
He undertook 4 years of research under the auspices of UCL and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. This included setting up a genetic diagnostic service for skeletal muscle ion channel disorders including myotonia, paramyotonia and periodic paralysis. These disorders are amenable to treatment and medications were also studied. Whilst there, he was able to gain huge experience in the field of neuromuscular disorders.
