Private radiotherapy services

Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) provides a Radiotherapy service for NHS and private patients.

QEHB has the largest Radiotherapy Department in the region with a broad range of specialised treatment machines. This allows clinicians to choose the most appropriate treatment machine for each patient.

All revenue from private treatment is used to help maintain and improve standards throughout the hospital.

Why choose QEHB?

As a centre of excellence for cancer, QEHB has the largest Radiotherapy Department in the region and some of the most advanced facilities available in Europe. It is the only centre in Europe to have:

  • CyberKnife®
  • TomoTherapy HD® machines
  • range of linear accelerators
  • brachytherapy

Intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) is a routine radiotherapy treatment for many tumour sites at QEHB and is delivered using Elekta Synergy® and TomoTherapy HD® linear accelerators.

Mindelsohn Suite

The Mindelsohn Suite is a private patient facility adjacent to the Radiotherapy Department and offers a modern relaxing environment conducive to your well-being.

All revenue from private treatment is used to help maintain and improve standards throughout the hospital.

QEHB is recognised by most insurers and accepts self paying patients.
