Upper gastrointestinal services

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is the major tertiary upper gastrointestinal unit in Birmingham, covering a population of 1.7 million, referred both locally and from four district general hospitals (Walsall Manor Hospital, Sandwell and City hospitals and Russells Hall Hospital Dudley).

As a team, we are committed to delivering care for patients locally and maintaining close ties with the clinicians from referring hospitals.

Our clinicians provide clinics here at UHB and surrounding hospitals.

We provide a comprehensive team to care for our patients from the first consultation, through investigations, to treatment, rehabilitation and follow-up.
